چکیده
Strictly proper kernel scores are well-known tools in probabilistic forecasting, while characteristic kernels have been extensively investigated machine learning. We show that both notions coincide, so insights from one part of the literature can be used other. metric induced by a cannot reliably distinguish between distributions far apart total variation norm as soon underlying space measures is infinite dimensional. describe terms eigenvalues and eigenfunctions apply this characterization to continuous on (locally) compact spaces. In case, we exist if only metrizable. As special cases investigate translation-invariant Abelian groups isotropic spheres. The latter interest for forecast evaluation predictions spherical domains encountered meteorology climatology.

Strictly Singular Non-compact Operators on Hereditarily Indecomposable Banach Spaces
An example is given of a strictly singular non-compact operator on a Hereditarily Indecomposable, reflexive, asymptotic `1 Banach space. The construction of this operator relies on the existence of transfinite c0-spreading models in the dual of the space.

chapter one is devoted to a moderate discussion on preliminaries, according to our requirements. chapter two which is based on our work in (24) is devoted introducting weighted semigroups (s, w), and studying some famous function spaces on them, especially the relations between go (s, w) and other function speces are invesigated. in fact this chapter is a complement to (32). one of the main fea...

Method of the solution of the main problem of homogeneous spaces thermodynamics on non-compact spaces in the case of non-compact homogeneous spaces is presented in the article. The method is based on the formalism of coadjoint orbits. In that article we present algorithm that allows e ciently evaluate heat kernel on non-compact homogeneous spaces. The method is illustrated with non-trivial exam...
متن کاملRadial kernels and their reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces
We describe how to use Schoenberg’s theorem for a radial kernel combined with existing bounds on the approximation error functions for Gaussian kernels to obtain a bound on the approximation error function for the radial kernel. The result is applied to the exponential kernel and Student’s kernel. To establish these results we develop a general theory regarding mixtures of kernels. We analyze t...
